Lynn, there is just way too much crime here in Lake Worth, I saw this on the news this morning too. Last night they showed a machete attack on 2nd Ave N and B St N. on the other side of Lake Worth Towers, the elements in this area of the city are just so bad. The police here are just not present in the hood enough and on top of it,it is all illegals and delinquents that live in this area. What really is the PBSO doing? What is their strategic plan to address all this crime here? It just gets worse and worse. I will not vote to re-elect Bradshaw, I see the crime a lot worse here now, it gets worse and worse.

It is so darn sad. This neighborhood used to be considered a nice middle-class place to live. I remember when I was younger how most of the alphabet streets were nice places with little crime and NO illegals. You were safe anywhere in Lake Worth. The government has allowed this illegal migration which frankly, has a different culture. More and more poor are concentrating here. Scott Maxwell hit on something a week ago when he asked if the city was being an enabler encouraging more poor? Machete attacks...when will it ever end? What do we have to do? They have taken over and they live among us. Slumlords rent to anyone.

Actually, it was a stabbing. Domestic dispute , husband stabbed wife, NOT a shooting.

You are correct. It came out a little later that it was a stabbing.

Yes, Scott, The city is enabling by giving away houses to poor people. The city is enabling by giving out awards to people who are here illegally. The city is enabling by raising Haiti's flag outside city hall. The city is enabling by spending grant money on nice streets and parks in areas that are inhabited almost entirely by citizens of other countries. City leaders are enabling by allowing the Guatemala-Maya center to remain here. Shut it down!
